TeaCrine, the fitness world's newest supplement.
Updated: Aug 14, 2019
TeaCrine, is the compound containing pure Theacrine (1,3,7,9-tetramethyluric-acid), which is a pure alkaloid with a similar structure to caffeine, and acts in the same way as an adenosine receptor antagonist. Early studies have shown non habit forming effects unlike caffeine addiction, but have included increases in energy and focus, as well as a tangible increase in vitality and alertness. Theacrine as a compound is not new, in fact, it has been widely used by the Chinese culture in the kucha tea beverage. The tea is bitter, but has the Theacrine compound in it, as its main ingredient. It has been used as a pain relieving agent for millennia to experience both the analgesic and anti-inflammatory benefits of the main substance. Other benefits include, improved mood and stress reversal effects, along with helping to lower LDL cholesterol. Now as a balance to caffeine, you cant develop a tolerance to it, so if you take it with caffeine, you only get the added benefits it offers. In fact, in a recent study on high level soccer players through a whole 90 minute match, all factors taken into consideration, combining TeaCrine with caffeine saw a 27%-38% improvement on increased performance capacity pertaining to endurance and cognitive function on the field, especially important during over time scenarios.
